Goodbye Meadow

I used these two pictures as inspiration for a song of which I’ve called “Goodbye Meadow”. The song is about a one-sided relationship that has ended even though the 1st person viewpoint had believed that the relationship was going well enough that they had thought about the future of the couple. The eye picture is what gained inspiration for the planned future. As the picture shows an eye which is looking forward and sees a heart representing her love for her partner and thinking about the possibilities of where the relationship can go. Throughout the song a meadow is constantly mentioned. It stands as the place that the couple went to often and had claimed as their place that they went to a lot during dating. The person's view of the meadow is an important place to them which has attached memories of the person they love. It is hinted that the couple often watched the sunset together so when the person realises they must say goodbye and move on from the relationship, they watch the sunset again one more time in their spot but this time alone, showing that they aren’t going to be held back from doing things and that they are capable of doing things they once did as a pair individually marking them moving on. In the lyrics it is suggested that their partner never truly felt the same and was playing them. Even though they know this they still describe the meadow and the actions they did together as a positive thing. This can be linked to the eye picture because despite the fact that everything looks beautiful from the reflection of the eye and the way the eye is posed, behind the eye is hidden except to the person of the eye itself. I used the chord progression of C, Am, Em, and F for the verse, Am ,E ,F, and C for the chorus and then Am, Am, Em, and F for the Bridge. The chorus and bridge holds strumming for the guitar part but then the verses have plucking parts. To improve the song it would be better if I could add other instruments to make a more fuller song and then to have recorded so it was a studio version rather than just acoustic.
